Question 1: Scalable Marketing Systems
Purpose: Assess your ability to develop scalable marketing systems.
Scenario:
A company has recently signed 15 new businesses in the same industry across different metro areas. Each has a similar service offering and target market (e.g., B2B services), and the goal is to create a systematic yet adaptable marketing approach.
Your Task:
How would you design a standardized yet locally adaptable marketing strategy across organic and paid channels?
What key performance metrics would you track to ensure consistent performance?
How would you identify and leverage local market differences while maintaining efficiency?
Question 2: Lead Quality & Funnel Optimization
Purpose: Assess your ability to diagnose and optimize lead generation campaigns.
Scenario:
A client in the legal industry has high lead volume but poor lead quality—many leads cannot afford their services. Analysis shows they rank well for "free consultation" keywords, but their ideal client should have a household income of $100K+ and afford a $5,000 retainer.
Your Task:
How would you diagnose the issues in their marketing funnel?
What changes would you make to their keyword targeting, ad copy, landing pages, and lead qualification process?
How would you measure success?
Question 3: Diagnosing Performance Declines
Purpose: Evaluate your ability to analyze and correct performance drops.
Scenario:
A service-based business that previously generated 40-50 leads per month through Google Business Profile and Local Service Ads has seen a 50% decline in lead volume over the last two months. Their ad spend remains under $1,000/month, and no significant changes have been made to their campaigns or website.
Your Task:
How would you systematically diagnose the cause of this decline?
What metrics and data points would you analyze first?
What are the most likely causes, and how would you test solutions?
Once the issue is resolved, how would you apply these learnings systematically across similar campaigns?
Let us know if you have any questions. We’re looking forward to your responses!
Best,
[Your Hiring Team]
